September 30th, 2006, the National
Bankruptcy Law Project is offering a free one
day training for California BPPs who participate
in our Affordable Attorney Advice program. The
training will feature Nolo authors Stephen
Elias and Catherine Elias-Jermany, and will
consist of an overview of the changes in the law
and how they affect California Bankruptcy Petition
Preparers. Materials will include the two newest
Bankruptcy books by Stephen Elias (Nolo Press),
bonus marketing materials, and various contracts
and disclosures required of BPPs under the new
law.
The training will also demonstrate
how you can better help your customers use self-help
law materials and how to contract with the Affordable
Attorney Advice telephonic legal advice
services. AAA can provide your customers with
the legal advice they need to competently handle
their own Chapter 7 bankruptcy- with your form
preparation assistance. Completion of the training
will qualify your business for listing on the
Bankruptcy Law Project's website. For more information
